Potty Training Help?
Ok, I forgot one last thing. So when we first got Noah, he was fairly well potty trained except for the squatting incident in the hotel room when we first got him. For a while there he would come and tell us he need to go to the bathroom. The past couple of days, he's been going in his pullups. It's not clear if he's just distracted that he's not telling us anymore or if he just thinks he can go in his diaper instead. At least when we put him on the toilet now, he doesn't try to hope off after five seconds...

Don't worry too much, it is common for toddlers to digress sometimes when things are stressful. It becomes the one thing they can control when all else seems out of sorts.
ReplyDeleteGlad to hear that for the most part things are looking up.
The thing that helped us with Sydney was making her sit on the potty on a "schedule". She now knows that you have to sit before and after meals, before and after naps/sleep, and before and after leaving/arriving somewhere, or if she just hasn't gone in a while. She started to learn to hold it until then or sometimes tells us. You are one step ahead because he already knows how to go. I think he is just distracted by all the new things and doesn't want to stop the fun.
